A Week at Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Resort
Updated: Feb 26, 2021
Whistler is one of the best mountains I have ever skied. With 200 trails, a fantastic lift system, and one of the best aprés-ski scenes in North America, I dream of skiing here again.

One of my favorite things about Whistler is the fact that many jaw-dropping views can be obtained by intermediate skiers. Seventh Heaven is an incredible run on Blackcomb Mountain that puts your heart in your mouth with views of the surrounding mountains and pine trees. And the snow? Oh my goodness, Whistler. I love your powder!
We flew from Toronto to Vancouver airport, which was extremely convenient as we were able to fly "domestically." We crossed the border at the Peace Bridge in New York by car, and the flights from Toronto to Vancouver were fairly reasonable with Air Canada. Once in Vancouver, we had a private van transfer to our condominium complex.

We spent a week spring skiing at Whistler-Blackcomb, spending more time on the Blackcomb side of the resort complex. We did not explore the many off-piste activities, as we are devoted skiers and spent every day on the slopes. The kids loved riding the peak-to-peak gondola, especially when we lucked out and got the gondola with the glass floor!

The boys didn't take any lessons at Whistler, but their program looked incredible. The kid's area included a castle in the woods, and we did ski there to check it out. We also skied a few runs on Whistler mountain, which also had amazing views.

Our favorite runs were both found on Blackcomb Mountain - the Jersey Cream area and Seventh Heaven. We hope to return again one day soon to explore more of the mountain. There is too much to see for one trip!
The village at Whistler is amazing, and staying at a ski-in, ski-out condo made our trip even more convenient. We didn't need to drive at all on our trip! We stayed at The Aspens condos, slope-side to Blackcomb and next to the Merlin's Wizard Express lift.

The condo made a quiet, fantastic place to recharge after a long day on the slopes. While we could have cooked dinner on our trip, we preferred the amazing restaurants in the village. The boys also enjoyed the playground!

If you have the chance, we recommend staying at Whistler for a full week to explore some of the best skiing in the world, an excellent village for aprés-ski, and a vacation your family won't forget.
